Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut 750ML

Armand de Brignac, also known as Ace of Spades, is a prestigious French Champagne brand founded by The Cattier family and has a long history dating back to 1763. The Cattier family, produces of Armand de Brignac, have a rich and long history as an elite Champagne house in the tiny village of Chigny les Roses and have owned and cultivated family vineyards since 1763. The Cattier cellars have three styles of architecture in the caverns where the bottles are kept, Gothic, Renaissance, and lastly Roman. Armand de Brignac is aged in a special gated section of the deepest part of the cellar, 119 steps underground.

During the turn of the twenty-first century, The Cattier family started a new ultra prestige Champagne project and began setting aside parcels of reserve wines. In 2006, the first bottle of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold left the cellars in France. According to Jean-Jacques Cattier, the original “de Brignac” name was registered by The Cattier family in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier oversees the Chateau’s wine production with strictly limited annual yield ensuring that the family’s artisanal winemaking traditions are kept alive in each bottle. Jean-Jacques retired in 2011 and his son Alexander Cattier took over his dad’s role.

Armand de Brignac is currently owned by famous artist Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), a French multinational corporation and conglomerate specializing in luxurious goods, headquartered in Paris.

Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is easily identifiable by its gold bottle and hand finished French pewter Ace of Spades labels. Only twenty bottles can be completed per person per hour in the winery, resulting in no two bottles being the same. Ace of Spades Gold Brut cuvée is a blend of grape varieties of 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 40% Chardonnay. Bottled at 12.5% ABV.
